Easter weekend

We kicked off the weekend with a family gathering at Aunt Margaret's. Sophia is pumped to start the egg hunt!

And she's off!

After Sophia would find an egg she would quickly check out the contents before moving on to find more eggs.

Sophia is very proud of her basket.

Our sweet girl.

It was a beautiful Easter weekend! It was so much fun watching Sophia really take in all the Easter festivities this year. Well, almost all of the festivities...Sophia was so excited to see the Easter Bunny but once we got to the mall and we actually saw him she had a quick change of heart. She decided that she would just wave to the Easter Bunny instead of getting anywhere near him. Other than that, Sophia loved hiding and finding eggs, jelly beans, and spending time with family.

Easter at WFS

It was a beautiful Spring day at WFS and a perfect evening for an egg hunt!

The children anxiously awaiting the start of the WFS annual Easter Egg hunt! The lawn was covered with 700 eggs for the children to find!

Listening to Ellen Kendall give the instructions for the hunt...

Big sister in training...

Sophia is more than excited to become a big sister in July! She absolutely loves babies and can't get enough of all of the little ones on campus. At home she has been very attentive to her baby dolls, especially Belle, who she is constantly feeding, changing, and rocking. On this particular day, Sophia requested to carry Belle in the Baby Bjorn because she was a little fussy...

Birthdays!

We hosted "DD's" birthday celebration at our house. Everyone brought a dish and we enjoyed a delicious meal and yummy cake!

After dinner story time with "DD" and Granny Herndon.

Sophia helping "DD" open his presents.

Time to celebrate Pop's big day! Sophia was so proud to present Pop with the birthday card she made for him.

Time for cake!

Granny Herndon made Pop's cake...I would love to know how many cakes she has made for all of us!

Story time with Pop.

Presents!

It has been a busy Spring and it's not over yet but I thought I would start by catching up on the birthdays that we celebrated at the end of March and April! "DD" and Pop, we love you!

Sophia LOVED the cars!

And, the swings!

You can't leave the park without a souvenir. Thanks Grammy!

My Performance Co. dancers had a competition at Kings Dominion a couple of weekends ago and Grammy, Pop, and Sophia came along for the ride! Raph was still in California so Mom and Dad entertained Sophia while my dancers and I waited to perform and then they brought Sophia to watch some of the competition. Sophia loved watching the dances! My students did a great job and brought home a trophy with an Excellent rating! After the competition, Sophia rode some rides and she looked like such a big girl getting on the cars and swings in the Snoopy Village. With all the excitement it didn't take Sophia long to fall asleep on the way home.

Picture Perfect

Sophia in her Grammy's dress and Pop's baby beads. Three generations have worn this special dress.

Look at this happy girl! Do you think she loves her Grammy and Pop very much?!

I believe the feelings are mutual! :)

Sophia really putting on a show for the photographers.

While I was teaching dance last night and Raph was in route to California to play in the paintball World Cup (details to follow), Grammy and Pop took Sophia to get her portraits taken. Mom has been wanting to get Sophia's picture in the same dress that we both wore when we were 2 years old and last night was the night! Sophia had a great time being with her Grammy and Pop and I just love how the pictures turned out! Thanks, Mom and Dad for the pictures and for loving our little girl so much!
