11 months with our Henry

Happy 11 months!

Love bugs

Standing

Playing Apples to Apples with our advisee, Andy.

Yep, just one of the guys.

Watching Sesame Street with big sis.

The happy face I see every morning.

It has been an eventful month for our little man! Henry is moving and communicating so much these days.  Henry has started standing on his own and I don't think it will be too much longer before he starts taking his first steps. He is using sign language to say, "more", "thank you", "dog", "ball", and "bird". He loves the water and going to the pool is a highlight (bath time, however, is a little bit of challenge). This month Henry also had his first trip to the ER after breaking a glass door (with his head) at G and P's. Thank you G and P for being there and helping so much! I have never been so scared but two staples later and our little guy is as good as new. Life with a little boy is proving to be very exciting, to say the least.

It blows my mind to think that next month we will be celebrating Henry's first birthday. It has been an amazing adventure. So much love for our sweet boy.

Happy Father's Day!

 Happy Father's Day, Daddy!
We miss you and can't wait for you to hurry home!

And, happy Father's Day to my amazing Dad. I'm one lucky girl to have you as my father. Thank you for all that you do for me and my family. Pop, we love you so much!

Fun at the parade and fair

Sweet girls loving all the parade activity.

We enjoyed the Orange parade and fair on Thursday night with our sweet friends, the Heffners. The girls were beyond excited and they loved every minute of the parade! Then it was off to the fair for games and rides. Many thanks to Hunt and Lorae for helping out with my little ones during all the festivities! I think Sophia could have stayed at the fair all night and she was not too thrilled to leave but it was way past bedtime. The fair ended up being a little too exciting for Henry...he wasn't feeling well and got sick when we got home. Poor little guy. Yesterday Henry made a full recovery and G and P took Sophia back for another round at the fair! She won two prizes and rode eight different rides! I think we are going back for round three tonight...

Blueberries for Sophia

This girl can pick some berries...

Sophia has always loved the book, Blueberries for Sal (thanks, Aunt Annie!), so she jumped at the chance to go blueberry picking the other day. It was a cool morning and the bushes were full of berries. We look forward to heading back for more picking (and eating) very soon!

Popsicles, anyone?

Sweet friends

Everyone enjoying their frozen treats.

Sharing means caring, right?

This is what summer is all about...

Sweet summertime!

Run through a sprinkler. Check!

Our summer officially started the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend so the kids and I headed down to Rhoadesville to celebrate! Sophia and Henry splashed around in the baby pool and our girl was able to run through the sprinkler! Henry loved riding in the little car and Sophia was happy to help her brother out by pushing him around the yard a little bit.

As much as we are enjoying a slower pace this summer, we are missing Daddy while he is on his annual trip to Nicaragua with his Spanish students. To keep up with Raph during his travels around Central America you can check out his blog here - wfscasa.blogspot.com
