The beach...

After we left the zoo, we had a nice lunch with Wayne and Donna before heading to the beach. We arrived at Uncle Van and Aunt Robin's house in the afternoon and had time to relax before dinner.
Everette meeting cousin Jessica who is expecting her second son soon!
Baby Everette meeting his great-uncle, Everette!
 Family dinner
Sophia was so excited to sleep over at Uncle Van and Aunt Robin's! These little ones slept great! Raph and Henry slept well in the next room over.

Then it was off to the aquarium!
 Our sweet cousin, Levi.
After the aquarium, we said good-bye to Robin, Jess, and Levi and headed to the beach just in time for a mini storm. The above picture is me running back to the car to protect baby Everette from the wind and rain. About 5 minutes later the sun was out and we enjoyed some beach time!
So happy that our children love the beach as much as we do!
Then it was back to Van and Robin's for a cook out and family time. This is Henry channeling his inner Jimmy Buffet.
Sophia helping Aunt Robin with the yummy dessert.
Before heading back home the next day we enjoyed a few more hours at the beach.
This little guy was such a trooper hanging out in the tent and with Grammy in the Baby Bjorn.
 Playing in the waves...
 and the sand.
Daddy turned Sophia into a mermaid!

Then it was time to hit the road...

It was a great mini-vacation! Thanks to Jess for helping us make arrangements, Aunt Robin and Uncle Van for the wonderful food and excellent accommodations, and G and P for being amazing parents and grandparents and helping us take care of three little people.

At the zoo...

We are having a great, laid back summer! So happy to have all 5 of us under the same roof! Really can't believe that it is already August and a new school year is right around the corner....time for me to play blog catch up!

Back in June...A couple of days after Raph returned from Nicaragua, we took a trip to the Ricmond Metro Zoo on our way to Virginia Beach. The zoo was so much fun and Uncle Wayne and Aunt Donna were excellent tour guides!

Ready for a fun morning exploring the zoo!
It was such a treat getting to see and feed the giraffes!
Loving on baby Everette during a rest break.
We can't wait to go back!
