A pumpkin patch in our own front yard!

What better way to welcome Fall then to pick pumpkins - it just so happens that these pumpkins were growing in our front yard! We were so pleased when we arrived home from Vermont this summer to find pumpkins just starting to grow. They are a product of our compost pile and the pumpkins of year's past. It has been fun watching them get bigger and today it was time to pick them!

Sophia had a great time playing with the pumpkins this morning.

"This pumpkin is just my size!"

Pretty, pretty princess

We went to the Orange Street Festival on Saturday and Grammy treated Sophia to a princess crown and boy, did she love it! When all other hats get pulled off, Sophia managed to keep the princess crown on for the majority of the day. Mmmm, what does that tell you?

"Can we build it?"

"Yes we can!"

"Like this, Pop."

"Do you need these?"

"Hey! This is fun!"

Mom got these photos of Sophia helping Pop when babysitting last Thursday while I was teaching dance. Dad was so sweet to attempt assembling our new bathroom cabinet but I think he had a little too much help...

Wheels!

"Look what I have!"

Sophia has her first set of wheels! Her walking/riding toy is one of her favorite new toys and she loves having some wheels under her. Here are some shots of her getting around...

Country Living

Sophia loving her wagon ride!

"Whoo hoo! This is fun!"

Sophia got a treat when the ice cream truck passed by the house.

She LOVED her popsicle!

Swinging with Grammy.

We had a relaxing Labor Day weekend in Rhoadesville!

Mommy's little helper

finding the drawer...

working hard

"What Mom? Don't you want your towels all over the floor?"

Sophia has discovered many things...recently, she has discovered how to open doors, drawers, and cabinets. Her favorite is the tea towel drawer in the kitchen. Every time I'm busy in the kitchen, Sophia keeps herself busy by pulling out all the towels from the drawer and throwing them on the floor. What a great helper!
